This works for me.  I have seen others post better numbers, so don't feel this strategy is the best out there.  I really can't play pass defense very well, so that's why I use the following method in my games.  I can score over 100 points a game with this occasionally, while still out-scoring my opponent by 21 in campaign mode.  I have only gotten two shut-outs during four campaigns with this strategy, but I do make at least $200,000  per game with it.

On offense:  Throw a long bomb LOB every play until I get a touchdown.  Once the receiver clash-catches the ball, I try to get at least one more clash icon before running into the end zone (most often a "taunt" icon).  Run for a two-point conversion and try to get at least one "juke" or "spin" icon (two clash icons will get more money for "combos" at the end of the game).  I don't run often because it takes up too much time off the clock if I can't get a TD right away.

On defense:  The most important factor in this is time.  Use the "FG Block" play out of the "Special" play formation.  Put the middle linebacker on the opposite side of the line of Ted Lawless (I always choose him as my vet).  Choose either Lawless or the middle linebacker to blitz on the play.  I can't play pass defense, so why waste precious clock time?  I do try to get sacks and injuries if I can, but if the offense can move the ball, I let them so I can get the ball back as soon as possible.  The other team does score a lot, but I can still win by more than 21 to cover the point spread.

Special teams:  For kick-offs, I always go for the onsides kick, and hit the returner with a dirty hit if I can.  For kick-off returns, I normally run out of bounds so my returner doesn't get injured or fumble the ball.  For defending against field goals and extra points, I use turbo with the cornerback lined up on the opposite side as the kicker.    I watch for the other team's center's name to appear onscreen just as he hikes the ball, so I can time my reaction better.  This does not work a whole lot, but I can stop the field goal or extra point from time-to-time.

Other strategies:  I try to get as many clash icons as possible, win brawls, and use "unleashed" moves as soon as I can.  Also, if I haven't scored at least three touchdowns before the end of the first quarter, I reset and play again.

Training:  I usually buy Level One training equipment at least, and Level Two for most of them.  I never juice anyone, even to bring them back early from an injury.  I save my money for gear in Division One, and then only buy the best gear available.

Other useful strategies:  Whenever the opponent fumbles, I do NOT use the TURBO button when I am picking up the ball.  My player usually runs right over the ball without picking it up if I do use turbo.  Also, when you have "UNLEASHED", using a Dirty Hit will NOT decrease the Unleashed meter at all, so I do Dirty Hits as much as possible in this case.  And remember, although kickers may not be able to tackle well, they still CAN do a dirty hit!
